When a unit is selected, the hardware mouse will disappear. The defualt arrow when a unit is not selected is ok. The guard and reclaim cursors are also ok even when a unit is selected, but only if the mouse is put over something guardable or reclaimable.
The only other thread I found was here: http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=30802
I've tried not using the hardwire mouse, but it becomes unbearably laggy on some maps. I was playing Balanced Annihilation 7.84.
I've installed the 2 updates today, and they have fixed the minor problems with the lobby, but the mouse problem still persists.
new info log below.
thanks.

Re: Hardware Mouse Disappears *UPDATED*
This bug is present there so long that even i dont remember times when this bug wasnt present (89.0? maybe?)
Re: Hardware Mouse Disappears *UPDATED*
It's no bug. Spring does everything correctly, it's just that fullscreen hw cursor is an optional feature in windows gpu drivers and a lot can break. That's why it is default disabled.
So blame your system when it fails, you likely made a change that made it break (updated drivers, installed another software, upgraded windows, ...).

Re: Hardware Mouse Disappears *UPDATED*
I've tried using windowed mode before and it still didn't work.
However, after (yesterday's?) update, the hardware cursor now works in windowed mode. All good.
