Suggestion for games

Does anyone have any suggestions for mods on the game tab that are simplier, or easier in general?

I'm interested in trying this out as a cross platform game to play with friends, and I'm trying to find a simplier mod to try it out on. I remember Basic Annailation being very extensive (having more units than seemed worthwhile).

I will worry about liscencing secondary.

Obviously I can only recommend BA to you No, Kernel Panic sounds like what you're looking for there; someone who knows better than me where to look could link a version that works with spring 95?

Well, use 94.1 for now. I haven't yet tried KP under 95, but it's rare to have engines update that don't break things.

All games not on the http://springrts.com/wiki/Games tabs are not .there for a reason: Usually the reason is that their creator(s) do not think their game is ready or polished enough for public playing.

Depending on which lobby you use, playing Kernel Panic with an 94.1 version of spring engine should be no problem.

"The Cursed" is also not as confusing complex as BA, maybe comperable with Command&Conquer or Starcraft in regard to unit numbers etc.

"Spring Tanks" is even simpler, but maybe too simple. You control a squad of tanks and play Capture The Flag. (no base building)

Of course can always look for more projects here: http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewforum.php?f=79 but keep in mind those are more or less unreleased, even if some get played from time to time.

If you are ready to do something for it, you could just take BA and remove T1+T3 or T2+T3 or 1 of arm/core.

If you remove T1, you also need to:
* let the com build cheaper T2 factories.
* give the com more income (3-5x) and build power.

I think I'll need to experiment a bit and figure out why logging into the official server requires 95.0, when all the games are 94.1.

Kernel panic does look quite fun, and I should probably toy around with the other games also.

You don't need to figure it out. 95 is the latest build of spring, many projects are only updated to 94 as it has been out for some time. So it is just a matter of time. If the game you like DOESN'T run in 94 or has issues like a crash or something post on thier subforums located here: http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewforum.php?f=47

if they don't have a subforum, post in the game development forum requesting that someone update it.
