Imo, corrupted pool files.

Install to userland is best. Perhaps have him try the weblobby installer thing (or just send him to weblobby if he already has ff).

no, error message says: "Error: couldn't open pool\ea\04fa9559fe4773cf0421e89d92b89b.gz"

its an incomplete download. to fix, run

pr-downloader "Balanced Annihilation V7.76"

or delete b6171bccbff6f7d99db69cf3802b2d97.sdp from the packages/ folder.

Weblobby has a manual download dialog you can use, uses pr-downloader.

maybe as note, the problem was, that the index file was written before all files where downloaded. so an aborted download could lead to this error. this is already fixed in newer versions of pr-downloader & will be fixed in the next version of springlobby...

just saw 2 other "rank 1" players with springlobby who did not sync/download.
after manual downloading sdz it worked.
imo somewhat urgent..if it is already fixed anyway would justify new SL release i think.

i can't release until this bug is fixed. :-|
