Spring 94 and Mountain Lion

Post by lionchaservjt »

I need help...i've already downloaded the spring engine, and then i also downloaded and installed xquartz. But i've tried running Balanced Annihilation and spring1944 and neither of them will even start up...the error message says incorrect/missing content...and then it quits.

Can anyone help me?
I've been wanting to play this game since the original TA came out.
I would really appreciate the help.

Just log onto http://weblobby.springrts.com

Connect to a multiplayer game and it will download all the content for you.

Generic Suggestions:

Try a different browser (Google Chrome or Firefox seem to work on Windows and Linux)

Ensure you have Java installed, updated and that it has has permission to run (will vary by browser)

On my computer it took a long time to load the first time so maybe just leave the window open and see if it eventually comes up.

in weblobby is an option to use safemode, try that.

if you use different lobby, still try safe like explained here: http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=29879

if you can find springs logfile:
http://springrts.com/wiki/Infolog.txt
post it, maybe it is helpful.
