from mbits to Mbytes its just really dividing by 8Caydr wrote:This should probably specify whether you're talking megabits or or megabytes/kilobits or kilobytes. The difference is quite large. I have a 2.4 mbit download speed, for instance, but that's really just 300 kb/s.

As Gnome said in another thread, some countries are not as fortunate as others.
I have a 1024 Mbits connection (in theory as it never get's so high) with a 20 GBs download cap. That + cable TV does ~45 ├óÔÇÜ┬¼ a month. Last december, we used up 22,5 GBs of bandwidth. Those extra 2,5 GBs earned us an extra 43 ├óÔÇÜ┬¼ in our bill.
Also of note, the available 16Mbits ones would only deliver 65% of they're suposed performance, as tested by DECO.

Dam... Maybe down there in the musslin town. Up here, between the tripeiros lands and the musslin town (also known as "estrangeiro"), 4Mbits+ connections would be something godly and i know few with 2Mbits.Chocapic wrote:...
Here its quite a standart to have 2/4/8/16 mbit DSL/Cable connection

Here in portugal the 2 major DSL/Cable companies (Sapo and Netcabo) have a lot of users, and i really mean a lot and they dont sell connections lower than 2mbit (not sure of this tho).PauloMorfeo wrote:As Gnome said in another thread, some countries are not as fortunate as others.
