adv crawling bomb

Post by jamerlan »

Adv crawlings are cost too much and easy to detect.

Any chance to make them invisible to radars? Not cloack but stealth?

and they are too slow

Adv crawling bombs arent the most used unit indeed.. But giving them stealth would make them way too powerful. Making them faster... perhaps a bit?

Why not make a juno and kill the radar just before you send the bombs in?

Or send them in inside of an intruder?

The only reason for not having a new BA version 3 months ago is that we made changes that are only really compatible with Spring 92+, and then when 93.1 went live containing big bugs it seemed better to wait a short bit of time until we had a version that we'd tested with 94.0 before releasing.

because they will rebuild t1 radar in 5 seconds. How much rockets do you need to keep enemy without radar for crawling? If enemy will see lot's of rockets they will just SPAM t1 radars.

I agree this is possible but in practice people will almost never replace their radar within 5 seconds and you'll get the 8-10 seconds you need to walk the bombs in. Imo this is the way to use them.

Making them stealthy and cloakable would be overpowered because they are tiny and would be too easy to smuggle into bases. (And that is the role of gremlins, anwyay.)
What is intruder?
T2 veh trans - it behaves different to most others trans because when it dies it scatters its contents around it and triggers their self d explosion. Although I just checked this and it turns out you cn do this with normal bombs (and the effect is awesome) but not with adv bombs.

Isn't the intruder a hover unit? It was originally. Did BA move it to the t2 veh lab?

Its a useless bomb. Having the smaller bombs in intruder is useless too, cool boom thou. Make the intruder cloakable(its not used anyway, so spice it up)? Adv crawly being stealth, what a brainfart.

Make the adv crawly completely stealthy when its not moving, thats the way to go. When moving, detectable by radar or by being close to enemy. Too powerful if combined with juno that way? Maybe, but takes some controlling, so... Make it drain lots of energy to balance things out a bit. Are there votes for these possible changes or do few guys just decide on them?

I think the problem is that at the time you have eco to afford them, you dont have enough click/per min to use them

The only thing that they need is: a widget to make them cloak automatically when they go out of factory. That would help a lot
