if you saved a Spring game using /save test for example, you can load it by running Saves/test.ssf with the spring executable.

MA?
anyway, i don't think springlobby supports loading yet, (correct me if i'm wrong braindamage) but you can load it manually with the spring exe.

ahh yes you're right, everything is blocked.
this is a problem with spring i guess. not springlobby.. guess we'll have to wait till it's fixed.

Re: How to load a saved game
Hi
I used to play TA spring fev years ago, and I know that save and load game in single player mode doesnt works. Now we have almost 2013 and what? I just compiled Ta spring (91.0) and springlobby (0,147) and I see that in springlobby tab load/save game even not exist?
What is wrong? It is any possibility to load save game? Why it still doesnt works? It is one of the most importanst option for every game !! I can not play my favourite game for 4-5 hours without breaks, I ve another thing to do family, job etc...
ps. soryy for my english

*shouldn't post drunk but this seems the perfect post to respond to*
TA spring? Wth is that? do you mean BA, or what game? it's up to the game to support load/save mechanics, and as it is, most games don't have (single player) campaigns, so very little effort goes into having a suitable load/save mechanic; and tbh, if you can't finish a game in 15min (which is probably the average amount a single skirmish requires, you should look for a different entertainment)

Re: How to load a saved game
Of Course I am talking about Ballanced Annihilation, but never mind, the most important is that Springlobby doesnt provide load/save game. I am old user and I prefer single player mode and long matches 3-4 h on huge maps. I not alone in my opinion, many users likes single player mode. I do not understand why it is so big problem for developers to include save/load game? It is so complicated or bad intentions?
Re: How to load a saved game
Neither, people just don't care enough to do it. You have to remember that there aren't (m)any single player scenarios out there, and no campaigns have been finished yet.vnu007dl wrote:It is so complicated or bad intentions?
Many different people have worked on implementing a load/save mechanic, but as far as I know, there isn't a full, well tested implementation out there yet. Even if non-Lua saving/loading is completed (units, terrain, projectiles, orders), it's still up to the specific game to implement lua load/save (the gadgets/widgets should support loading/saving).
PS: It's really not a springlobby thing, it's a game thing (and afaik, no game supports it currently).
Re: How to load a saved game
Not complicated. In fact the opposite - it is not challenging enough and therefore extremely boring to implement.vnu007dl wrote:I do not understand why it is so big problem for developers to include save/load game? It is so complicated or bad intentions?
Unlikely to be fixed anytime soon unless new developers who enjoy developing this specific feature join the project.
Re: How to load a saved game
So I understand that in the next future load/save game won't work?
is there any other possibility to save and load without springlobby via some plugins etc?
