Sadly, as soon as it goes out of LOS it can no longer be seen.

From a quick glance at engine source, it seems that only a few (like geos) particleclasses have an alwaysvisible tag. Most of them seem to inherit the weapondef's alwaysVisible tag.

Isn't that the problem, that you always see your own projectiles? I'd like to be able to hide them. I think the correct behaviour is that you don't see stuff outside of your LOS. That's why it's called LOS.

That's nice, but this new method does not allow for the old way. It's either visible to everyone, including your enemies (so your enemies will have no trouble pinpointing where the shot came from), or hidden from everyone.

Ok, well several options are always good. But I think it's logical that it disappears outside of LOS. Think of it, you have a ball and throw it over a large wall. Then you don't see the ball anymore, even though it's your ball.

it's not just about the realism i think; if you can see your projectiles outside of LOS, you can probe for enemy buildings/units, by looking where the projectile stops abruptly
