Amazing game yo!!
So so so deep.
I highly recommend it.
CK2 falls in the genre of grand strategy games.
games like Europa Universalis, Victoria, Hearts of iron etc...
If you are looking for a single player game that is addictive and has huge replay value this is it.
CK2 also has multiplayer, where you can play in co-op as part of the same kingdom(or one being the king while the other player his vassal) or where both player play as kings or dukes of different kingdoms.
Great game.
I never enjoyed EU or Victoria as much as this one.
I'm not sure how many people actually bother to check any of the games I recommend here but if you want to give CK2 a try make sure you get all the DLC and the latest patch.
If you wanna "try before you buy" PM me cause it is pretty hard to get it with all the latest stuff.

Re: Crusader Kings 2
yh the game is interesting, i recall playing as a byzantine vassal, moving up into power within the empire.
Still getting more military power seams to be getting more land. Not like the EU recruiting system. You can make structures

Re: Crusader Kings 2
Well I dont have much experiance playing EU but in CK2 If you start small it's not easy to get ahead...
I started playing as a single county in wales...
woo....took me 3 leaders to get most of the welsh counties and I was extremly lucky cause one of the dukes was sending his troops to fight the muslims.
There are also inheritance issues.
If the succession type is gavelkind, after you die your children split your kingdom, each taking his own cut and you only play with the heir who gets the primary title.
The more land you have the more vassals you got and you get a shit ton of problems when you die.
The game is not strictly about getting more land but about getting as much prestige and piety on your leader when he dies(the final score is the score of each of your leaders when they die, and that is based on their prestige and piety).
You are racing against yourself, so the goal is to play as efficient as possible, in whatever state or place you decide to start the game.
I dont know...
It seems to me that CK2 is their best game to date...
I hope they release expansions for it..
The roleplaying part is so awesome..
You can play it for an hour, do almost nothing, and yet be completely glued to the screen.
@EU
I'll definitely be playing EU4 when it comes out.
