spring audio under linux

Post by jamerlan »

Something strange with audio under linux.

I have internal soundcard and external usb soundcard. USB soundcard set as default under linux and all programs uses it. But spring uses internal souncard and I can't switch it to usb one.

Also, I played today using my internal soundcard as default and I saw exceptions during the game. Infolog attached.

Also I can switch soundcards for any program (skype as example) via "pulseaudio volume control" but I can't switch soundcard for springlobby and spring.

Maybe spring inherits soundcard settings from springlobby.. I don't know. Spring is not friendly to pulseaudio?

Spring uses OpenAL, you can force it using specific devices.
But your infolog.txt indicates it only finds one device.
Run openal-info and consult internet about OpenAL & multiple devices.
