KAI 2v2 replay

We had an interesting game today, with action from beginning to end, i thought i might as well share it!

The game was with AA 1.41-S on metal heck, 2 humans vs 2 KAIs with 100 handicap, random positions, no air allowed for humans or AI. It would have been even better if the humans didnt give up and fought to the very end, but still was pretty fun to watch...

I also liked the fact that raptor didnt know there were AIs playing :twisted:

Heres another, The last game KAI will ever have with 100 handicap, since it doesnt need it anymore:

This doesnt mean KAI is even near good. I put so many restrictions on the humans (no air, no ships, no rushing) plus 100 handicap its hard to say it was fair, i feel bad about it now (they seemed pissed off and wont test again i dont think :()
I thought it would be easy for them and was trying to protect my only child (as well as testing some specific defense issues). I apologize!
I also feel kinda bad for forgetting to zip the replay, its pretty huge!

It will probably be the last time you will see KAI building like that, ill change the buildsystem soon to a more appropriate system.

there's a great use of your time, instead of playing spending hours on useless game against comps, you can spend it watching other people spending time fighting comps, well whatever gives you happpiness.

Indeed, so then i post replays, so people can watch me watching people play bots. The cycle goes on...

lol, ... this is a ai forum (its where ppl develop "comps" so that you in the future can play with them whenever you wish)

its hard to give constructive criticism to something that doesnt have resource restrictions. (thus, no priorities).

lol handicap is not unlimited resources, but i agree the test was not fair and that pissed you off, unfortunately until we give AIs human brains it will never be fair. Keep this in mind though : the more you badmouth KAI the more it will pick on you! Remeber last game :wink:
i wanted to test how it behaved under heavy attack, but it never happened, due to my underestimation...

Anyways, thanks but i dont need any sort of criticism for now since im nowhere done with the AI so its natural that it will feel and play dumb in pretty much all aspects. Once it IS done however, feel free to critique constructively, as it will be very much appreciated.

You can always play the other (more developed and human-like) AIs or the scripts if they are more of a challenge and then play a smarter KAI in a few months...

God did this people play like crap in the first game.
Sure, porking is nice, but what the hell are they thinking chain building construction kbots while being metal starved with 15 already around the lab...
Maybe building some mexes couldnt hurt? Maybe those HLT would be build faster if you had more than 15m income an a goddam metalmap instead of having 10 starved kbots assisting....

aint bc we could help in the development in any way?

or you think the players are not that important to contribute?

and about me being pissed, its not such.

it distubs me the fact that the only thing that your ai relies is in buildpower.

i dont find it a challenge, or at least more of what the mentioned scripts are.

If your ai did really well, and kicked my butt bc of its gameplay i would be greeting you.

but instead it needs like 500+ metal and 30+ level2 labs to "choke" its oponnent to death.

If you will hide your ai from criticism, and just permit us to "play and lose" against untill its ready, well you should not be posting this low accomplishes. Why? because it really needs to impoove, (i wont tell you how), and what is frustrating is not being able to help in that, even if that is bunch of flames.

To finish, dont askme to play your ai if you dont want the feedbak.

You are so clearly pissed off, its undeniable tbh. Anyhow, i thought you guys were going to win (how many more times to i have to say that?). Im not hiding my AI from criticism, Im just saving my time and yours, since i extremely doubt youll mention any problems KAI has that i do not know about.
For christ's sake stop treating the AI like a finished project. I never said you guys were supposed to have fun, find it challenging or that KAI would play like a human.
I need human testers to see what things i can teach KAI and see its weaknesses. If i wanted criticism i would release a beta version and ask people for feedback.
I posted the replays on the forums to let people know on its current status and hopefully help other AI developers come up with ideas.
As i said before, if you are not happy with this, then please dont test again and please stop going off-topic on this thread if you will. Im making KAI for my personal enjoyment, not yours :wink:
