Post by Senna »

Spring features are awesome for map helping, and its for me a part of spring project.

It help people to add features inside map without needing alot of work.

Hope the big ones read this and may think about it.

Well the more and more maps that use it, the more necessary it will become. With the advent of blueprint becoming prominent, it is getting to the point of being necessary.

However, it should not actually be necessary for inclusion as the lobbies should download it automatically.

It does need to be registered with plasmaserver though. Plasmaserver fails to register it because of the fact that spring features is "invisible", and plasmaserver +unitsync says "Bwahhh"?

So yeah, easy fix, easy solution and everyone is happy :-)

it is game specific so does not belong in engine installer.

It is not game specific... It is a resource for spring mappers. It is game agnostic.

It is not game specific, it's for features on map.

Imo this is good for blueprint, and blueprint helps alot with maping creation, but it became useless without features

Engine pack should be small for multi-engine support.

Feature pack can be published on rapid, all downloaders will auto fetch it if maps depend on it.

Well imo, it's too large to be added to base content. Doing it via rapid seems much better.

Thanks to det and licho, it's now on rapid, so mappers can just depend on it and the lobbies will auto download it. Thanks guys!!!

The lobbies download it automatically picasso. Because of the fact that it is on rapid, the lobbies can see it and download it for you.
