Is is possible for a spring game to appear in steam?

If you remember when steam came out, it was a blessing because owning physical copies of shit sucks.

i hated it then, and i hate it now... buggy, crappy garbage. it would never have taken off without them man-handling counterstrike 1.6 into it. we've talked about this before, you've never had a problem with it, but many many many people have.

recently, after steam updated, it seemed as if my password have been changed. i re-installed, i spent hours on the steam support forum and on their ticket thing, and got nowhere. it was only by visiting a somewhat shady website that i discovered the problem was local... all i had to do was delete an .ini file that was somehow untouched in the uninstall.

WHY was it not on their main site? hundreds of comments showed that people had the same problem (not to mention people who didn't comment... so thousands?) and yet those jerkoffs do nothing about it.

"oh but it backs up my games" ---> put the damn things in online storage, far far away from the sticky fingers of micro-transacting middlemen.

I bought bf1942 3 fucking times thanks to scratched cds

edit: steam -could- be good. but it's not. it's like a bad girlfriend, giving you sex but then stealing from your wallet and keeping you up at night wondering what the hell you did to deserve it.

I remember when Steam came out, and it was a curse because you needed an internet connection to play a single player game (Half-Life 2).

So, this discussion... were would i position myself, ripping of said hl2.. mmh.. thats a a difficult one. Do i prefer my ass intact... or deep fried..

god yes, MMOs, ONLINE only have killed lan parties. I loved them, they forced nerds to be social. Now they all huddle alone in their apts away from being able to talk shit and get in fist fights. I miss that. :'(

Piratebay may be illegal, but it doesn't EVER impede my ability to play my games, and if my computer dies, p2p is right there waiting for me to download and install all my games again. No hassle, no fuss.

pft, i hosted a lan party one month ago or so; although we did end up playing mostly old games
