Since Rockstar announced GTA V fans of the franchise have been interested in many aspects of the game, such as a release date, characters, the story and graphics. There is another feature of the game that seems to have been overlooked and that is speech technology, which for some gamers is as important as the graphics themselves.

Having already covered the issue of MotionScan and how it’s more than likely not going to feature in Grand Theft Auto V, there are other ways to make the game more realistic and how the characters face reacts when they are talking will be of great importance to some gamers.

Either bots have become supremely clever, or people have become extremely desperate to create commercial spam links. This is only a warning because the GTA V stuff is pretty cool. Next time: insta-ban; your stuff is not wanted here.

Bots don't register then make their first post a few months later unless they're strangely designed to do so which I've never heard of before...

Actually, that's pretty common bot behavior.

It's a feature to make them look more humanlike.

Fancy facial animations are not a substitute for engaging storytelling and entertaining gameplay.

Unless the entertaining gameplay is fancy facial animations.

Didn't valve already do this in the first release of HL2? Granted it was still rough then, the poly counts weren't nearly as high, the lips didn't have quite so many muscles represented, but it was basically the same thing stripped down to some degree.

Seeing videos like this is why I'm excited for HL3 even though it has yet to be announced. Valve always does something that just turns the industry on it's head.
