How to play Spring on Mac? ( I have literally No idea! )

Hey there Spring users.

I played TA when it came out and still to this day consider it the best rts of all time. I have been oblivious about the existence of the spring engine up to now and you can imagine how extremely excited I was to find out there is a new and exciting way to play TA!

Then I came across a problem...I'm on Mac.

I have tried over the last two days to understand how to install it by reading so many threads but for the life of me I cannot figure it out.
I am a complete noob at macs, I use it for work and thats it.
I know nothing about terminals or anything like that.

I really want to get back into TA but just cannot seem to make it work.

If anybody could help me out that would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Also tried out the Spring Lobby beta that was released and didn't have a clue how to use that! Whats a app bundle etc etc...

I'm a total noob at this and really have no idea how to make this game work =(
