I got Space Pirates and Zombies the other day for a couple bucks, its fantastic.

The Magicka Collection is currently $6.24 and includes all the DLC previously released... I haven't had the chance to go through Vietnam or the other releases, if someone wants to join up my nick is maackey on steam :)

Shogun 2 is also $7something. and very well worth the money.

THQ, strategy first, and paradox all games each 75$. Worth it?
I once played medieval TW and it really had no game play. Did that change with Shogun? i mean what kind of strategies do you use? besides charge the rear.

I wasn't a huge fan of medieval 2 except the Third Age mod which is an EPIC total conversion that turns Europe into Middle Earth and knights and spearmen into trolls and dwarves.

Shogun 2 has much improved AI (they can even invade by the sea :P) they have the ability to fortify themselves on forested hills and move their spearmen to intercept your cavalry charge on their archers. I actually haven't played it in a while, I've been swamped with school and some real crappy IRL stuff, but its definitely a well polished game that builds upon the previous TW games. That said the combat isn't wildly different than the other games from what I recall.

For under 8 bucks though... even a stingy bastard like me couldn't resist. But I really enjoy the TW games.

If you have the time to play all 163 games... at $225 total, averaging $1.38 per game isn't too scruffy. I personally wouldn't buy any of the big packs. They usually have lots of fluff and junk I'd never play.

nothing really interesting on steam right now... that 50% sots2 offer makes me a sad panda because I paid full for this broken late alpha

Same for Civ V. And then noone will mod in the most basic of automation improvements available in a free clone called C-evo. Means the game is too much work and i can't play it. Seriously the developers are trying to make a poor product.

So civ v has reminded me that its a very bad idea to buy a game before playing it and i that i might as well pay the better price for a good game.

Civ 5 major let down imo.

Went through all the steam games couldn't find anything truly interesting to get.

Shogun 2: Total War is pretty fun and addictive as hell. Except for the goddamn CONSTANT crashes.
