Unit menu won't show text-lables

When I select a unit, the textlables of the buttons won't show in the menu on the left.
I can see what button it is by the explaination on the left bottom of the screen and I can use the buttons.
The icons of the buttons to build units show as they should.

I have re-installed, un-installed and re-installed, re-downloaded uninstalled and re-installed. It didn't help.

I have a Radeon 9250, is there a way to fix this without buying new hardware or is my gfx-card to blame?

Yes its your card, the new GUI will fix this. Although you may have a different card/wife/lifestyle when it finally comes.
