An issue with GTX 560 Ti

So the problem is that my fps is very low. Too low for this card and I keep wondering why because on some specific maps like folsomdamdeluxe and koom valley it is between 20 - 80 and on nuclear winter for example it is easily +100 @ 30 minutes mark. Then out of the blue it MIGHT go up to the normal FPS again, just like that.

1TB Samsung HDD
ASRock P67 Pro3 MoBo
600W Power Supply by LG

Oh and this problem didn't exist with my old ATI HD 5770.

Post infolog, try going through the following tries:

mt-non mt
disable luashaders
its wierd you mention koom and folsom, as the only thing they have in common is trees. One has water, the other has SSMF.
What happens on DSD? or some other maps?
try disabling shadows
try atihacks=1 (or disable it if you had it on cause of old ati)
use nhancer to disable threaded optimization of spring
and last, upgrade-downgrade drivers.

Im interested cause I also wanna buy an 560ti :D

Ok so I did some further testing and it seems to happen on every map. Probably something to do with options but it's definitely Spring related, this card works like a charm in other games. :P

Fixed now, looks like it was driver's fault. Latest ForceWare didn't work but then I downloaded the newest beta drivers.

I have the same graphics card and I don't get low frame rates, even though my cpu is actually slower than yours

Nothing to do with MT here though. :| And yes I thought the problem would be gone but I was wrong.

Maybe 50% of BA players use MT, so it's gotta be epic win :mrgreen:

I thought the main problem with MT was that many of the lua scripts were not built to handle it.

If people don't use MT then you won't find problems with it and create bug reports and it will stay problematic.

Current MT fails horribly performance wise as soon as any widget tries to draw to the screen. Things change in the next release but I'm not knowledgeable enough to say how.

After two attempts, FPS has been normal everytime (on DSD +600, on FolsomDamDeluxeV3 around 300 and these numbers at the start of the game of course). Turning of threaded optimizations in the nVidia control panel seems to work. I did compress textures as well.

Compress Textures isn't needed on a mid-/high-end GTX card.
It gives quite less performance improvement on those and reduce the final image quality.
For older GPUs this is different, those likely hit their bandwidth limits and/or hit their GPU RAM limit (e.g. ZK very often hits the 256MB limit and cause SysRAM caching -> slow) and profit by compression.
