Re: Book to learn developing with Spring
OH, there is.
Look at amazon, ebooks section:
The book of torture:
Game Development with Spring.
Nah, just kidding, there is no final book, wouldnt make sense, as some stuff is everchanging, beeing in development. Although it would be cool, if somebody adapted the tutorial cleaning to this point.
We have tutorials, some old (and no they dont get better with age like vine) some new, we do have knorkes tutorial-game, which is basically a stumb-mod with some tutorials. We have people ready to give you advice, when you prove you mean it serious, and this is not just some teenager fantasy whos enthusiasm will flicker in two weaks and vannish.
What you should be able to get together for moddevelopment.
3d models and animations. (although you can do without for the first part, using cubic placeholders)
texturing: Its a must if you want to make decent advances.
lua-scripting: Absolutly nessescary if you want to venture beyond the SomethingAnnhilation Sphere.
sounddesign: Thats the easycheasy part
List goes on:
etc. etc.
This is not a little project, you are on the doorstep to comiting yourself to some serious work here. Funny, exciting, challenging work, but work. Even if you just modify a game of cubes, you will have to balance it out, which will make for some tough work.
Please state your idea, if its realistic, and you can post something you have worked on allready, we will gladly help you.
If you want others to realize your castel in the sky, expect a irony shitstorm.
