How could we promote more 1v1 up to 6v6 games?

My point is not that they rage at other players, my point is they cannot rage at other players so they fucking bail and never come back because we have dickhead no-lifers in all games who love crushing noobs and driving people away. Why? I don't fucking know, they are assholes, it gets them off, they have the obligatory tiny dick. I dunno but it is something that happens.

And yes people do rage when they lose, they do it on a regular basis. because this isn't a game right, it is serious fucking business. All of you 1v1 people are lying through your teeth if you say you play 1v1 as casual or whatever. It is competitive. In all competition people inevitably pull out all the fucking stops and cut corners where they can and this includes any civility or relaxed attitude. EVEN ME, I can become an asshole if I let myself become competitive about shit. Which is why I don't.

IMO 1v1 is a good way to teach a player to play and really push parts of a game but that doesn't mean teamplay is really weak. Team play can be just as competitive.

the difference is when someone loses they can blame others instead of feeling the shame of defeat. It is the sort of bullshit that makes me hate all gaming. I am there to fuck off and play. Other people want to turn it into a fucking job.

First you said people in 1v1 rage a lot more since they can't blame others. Now you say that the deal is that people leave playing 1v1 when they lose (cause some asshole dares to be better than them) and then have nobody to rage at?
Then you go on again about how people losing 1v1 regularly whine and rage, and in my experience too vast majority of people don't, even if they'd be the type to talk shit in other circumstances.

And how does being competitive (and no I don't agree that playing 1v1 is always so competitive) always lead to being an asshole? Maybe it does do that for you but think about it... If someones really competitive and professional about something, how worthwhile is it to waste energy raging? Try going to a chess tournament for example and see all the grandmaster RAGE out there.
If you really want to seriously compete about something one of first things to do is to learn to keep your cool.

if people are in a team match, they can focus their rage on an ally.

if they are alone they have either to complain of:
Imbalance
OMG YOU HAX
FUCK THIS GAME, IT SUX
CHEATER BAW BAW ETC

People even if they are good sports..
play matches.. end up against the same no lifers that always play spring...
- get creamed for many many sessions as the ba balances is as transparent as granite.
- they will meet people who don't bother to show them things and just run over them.
- even if taught some things the skill gap is still to high.
- there is no ai to play against to go from nub to eh-so-so..

pretty much universal in every game I have played. While a few will stick it out. Not many do. Often they go on to other games. Add to that the delay in finding a match with such an instant gratification gaming population they go back to cod or whatever other game kids play these days.

1v1 community is small so they know each others and quite polite.
GG is means gg.
I suppose need to promote SPRING and BA.We have not got big plr base.Popularise BA is the most problem.
For newbies come to smal games i think we need to have some server with fix ranklimit.Like FI newbies.3 server groups:rank 0-2,2-4,4 and higher,adn offcouse servers with no ranklimit.Doing that we can protect mewbies frome high-leveled player rape.And need to protect that servers from smurfs.
Glados server killing other games.I have even saw gaims 16v16(OMG)!!with 8-10 spectators!!!

It is true, server groups by rank like 0-2,2-4, and 4-7 would be nice to promote small games and "protect" newbies and less experienced players... and even for high-skilled players it would be better (more balanced = more fun)

However, I keep thinking that a lot of players quit spring because they are insulted... e.g. yesterday I saw a newbie get kicked and almost kickbanned from the battle because his status was "ingame" and he couldn't figure out what was wrong.
Solution: Everyone can do something very simple to change this by just being nice and patient with other players.

We're not going to see more small games until we get true matchmaking. Idling in a large game waiting for it to start is the only consistent way to get a game *started*.

I suppose we need to make some videos with coment and put it on the game servers to popularize. I am too bad in english to coment my 1v1 games,but someone else can write it fron screen and coment the game.After the game both players can comment in chat why they did so.
I know SC2 have servere where match with good players are recorded and commented.And they are very poppular.If someone watche that he may be want to try TA.

I would just impose to autohost that want to host game bigger than 8v8: 100% of the maps must be to designed to be played XvX | X >= 6 (that excludes DSD). Otherwise kick them.
Replace 6 by 8 would be nice but too despotic.

That still gives a margin of 25% for overcrowded game

Anyway, that is probabily never gonna have to happen cause that is not spring engine spirit

I like this idea, but I would rather periodically send chickens to the less aggressive guy!
