Ever watched the embers in a Fire?
If you could get a Shader to create this look, wouldnt this be awesome?
Behes Lavamap started this frenzy... i just sat there stirring into the Fire with some friends, and it hit me.. this, this is the perfect landscape.. yes, yes its unrealistic as hell, nothing could move on a landscape that glows from the inside out, while this constantly changes its "heatlook" due to aircurrents.
But if you accomplish this, you are the first, i have seen nothing of similar quality before. All you have to do, is let the Realism go, and enjoy the awesome that is there.
