Interessting tech tree.
I think the lines for the icons should all be the same boldness, the thin ones make it look less clean imo.
What is the rating/how does it work? (online?)

the rank is as follows:
you kill stuff, you get experience based off of cost.
(later there will be other goals as well)

as you get ranks, research items unlock.

research points will also be awarded.(have not decided how I want to generate them yet)

it does not carry from game to game. This is my solution to people's complaint that they are not being given enough reason to attack. it gives me a vehicle to drive player aggression. etc.

Ah ok.
"Player Rank" seems a bit like a player vs player rating.
In c&c generals there there is a similiar system (killing stuffs gives you points to spend on special abilities or unlocks new units)
It is represented by "stars":

Yes, it is an oil pump thing.
Idea is that player units are made of cubes and gaiea stuff like trees, neutral buildings etc. are made from triangles. Though triangles are much harder to stack into something that makes sense...

when I find a clear translation of the zeon and federation rank it'll say something like major or rear admiral where appropriate. Right now it just says rank as a placeholder.

didnt a country had a problem with sex scenes in movies, instead showing trains vannishing into tunnels, rockets starting, jackhammers or pumping oilrigs?

So yeah, I like how this is coming along. Tomorrow I add in the point accrual for research items(current system still uses the base resources.)
