When I would use pre-compiled binaries from the debian repos all of my maps would have lines and green blobs on them, I just didnt want to deal with this so I decided I would give compiling from source a try.
So I have successfully compiled 0.82.7.1 and springlobby 0.138 from source. When I launch a game the video is perfect, no more lines through my maps, or blobs on the mini maps when I build units.
However, now I have no sound! I have tried multiple mods: BA, ABA, Gundam RTS, Zero-K and its a no go.
I use Alsa as my default sound system, and have tried switching over to OSS, no luck. My sound options are enable and set, I have also tried pressing F6 while in game, no luck. Attached is my infolog, if anyone can assist me on where to go next I would appreciate it big time!
Thanks again!

Removed old openal-soft (I believe it was 1.11) and installed openal-soft-1.13 still no sound. Would compiling the package with 1.13 make a difference?

Additionally, pulseaudio causes lots of issues, so try to disable it for spring if you have sound problems.

I don't even have pulseaudio installed (sorry I should have mentioned that above)

Your infolog indicates the opposite.

Well that is interesting. I was actually searching for pulse on my system earlier this afternoon. I will take another look tomorrow morning but to the best of my knowledge pulse was never on my system.
Thanks for the help jK! I appreciate it!
