Re: Things I Hate About Spring:
make everything transport everything and filter with unitscripts what can really be transported.
then you could also have upgrades like Increased Cargobay - increases cargo bay

Re: Things I Hate About Spring:
Like flozi and I said, better to looah it. The big trick is faking the transport dropoff types.

Then you have to (attempt to) handle disabling the load command (and load onto commands) when it is 'full'.
this, btw, is what I love most about this community. The 'zwzsg' spirit; sure it can't be done, but we can die trying.

Re: Things I Hate About Spring:

I am not saying it is impossible until I have tried and even then, a duck looks graceful on the surface and players, well players only see us swimming around honking.

Re: Things I Hate About Spring:
Does any Spring game implement +honk or +sing?
Best thing about TA.

Yar, all very true. Like I said, it isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it sorta works. In the meantime, raise a big stink in the dev forum about it. Usually works for me.
Re: Things I Hate About Spring:
XTA implements the sing command, although not in ota format of +sing. It's a button.FLOZi wrote:Does any Spring game implement +honk or +sing?

Re: Things I Hate About Spring:
yup xta does that ^^, and also Idle coms animation <3
Re: Things I Hate About Spring:
Ok a serious add-on to the list:
1. IceUI. Seriously, who uses this? What's with that large font and the spammy interface? If I wanted to get spam I'd subscribe to a bunch of newslists and give away my email on the Internet.

Don't you dare talk about IceUI again in that way with such lack of knowledge. IceUI are best UI <3Jools wrote:Ok a serious add-on to the list:

Poo all ova yur nuggets
Re: Things I Hate About Spring:
I thought I was being diplomatic :)
But I gave IceUi a try, again. I'm happy with the left menu bar and the clock/fps, but the tricolored tooltip is annoying (reminds me of the dear windows assistant saying "It looks like you're writing a letter"). The resource bar is not as clear as in the default UI, although I like it can't be accidentally dragged.
The problem is also the lack of alternatives: I tried UIplus by behe, it looks fantastic, but the style would fit well with a spring version of TA:Kingdoms, not so well with robots.
There should really exist an UILite. With the whole tooltip window disabled please. We do not need to know the exact longitude, latitude and height of every single position in the map.
Did I say I don't like spam?

Re: Things I Hate About Spring:
Your bitching about this belongs in the ba forum this is not a spring issue it is a ba issue.
Re: Things I Hate About Spring:
Thats Bacism, i feel discrimanted and left out. Just because they are the majority.
Re: Things I Hate About Spring:
when your game has a ui we can discuss it.
Re: Things I Hate About Spring:

Hate all the UIs!
also how everything in *a has gay number, like it costs 413 metal and 7256 energy, does 78 damage and has 67234 health.

Re: Things I Hate About Spring:
You report, I decide.
Re: Things I Hate About Spring:
Yeah, give us an option to hide that number pls. We don't need that precision. Well, guess I'll have to make my own UI then :)knorke wrote: also how everything in *a has gay number, like it costs 413 metal and 7256 energy, does 78 damage and has 67234 health.
Re: Things I Hate About Spring:
Rip out pixel points where those numbers could be rendered from your monitor.
Re: Things I Hate About Spring:
nothing wrong with the number. everything rong with the last digits.Jools wrote:Yeah, give us an option to hide that number pls. We don't need that precision. Knorke, I suspect ba could have them rounded down to lower numbers but spring has lovely stuff like debris causing damage, unit slamming etc all of which are difficult to control.
