Try open new battle in zero-k lobby if it works.

works from zk loby but not from running spring, or from springlobby.
F11 seems to take screenshots instead of bringing up the widget menu.
sigh.

That has to be your binding. Default binding, especially that provided by ZKL binds F11 to widgets.

yeah, is there an easy way to reset it? spring lobby won't let me reset the default profile.

I guess it's probibly easy if I go looking in the folder for it...
maybe tomorrow if I've got time. (not currently on my desktop)

how come zk lobby uses a different keybinding to whatever spring/spring lobby uses?

Why?
ZK is made by heretics who will burn in the deepest dephts of hell for changing all sort of stuff, it has been a long time since the abandon
all ota content heresy, but still they dont show regret and return from there sinfull ways. They even try to tempt others to leave the dieing cult that is BA, and venture with them to a orgy of planetwars. How often did we warn them, repent, repent, and they never listened...

Thats why.

One day, there will be a jhihad, a cleansing fire, and nothing but the values of old will remain. But enough of that now.. my Com needs that upgradde (with the double d, for the double dose pimpin)

I think I'm wanting to reset the default/spring lobby defaults, since that's where it apears to be broken.
slectkeys and uikeys?

yeah but as it works fine from ZK lobby the zk lobby ones must be fine....
ergo it's the ones in the spring folder I want to change?

I detest zk lobby for the amount of bandwidth its wasted re-downloading maps and things because it refuses to see the spring/maps folder.

Ok, I deleted pretty much everything from my spring directory except folders, I then re-installed spring, using the portible option.

I noticed that any+f11 and any+f12 were both listed as screenshot hotkeys in the hotkeys tab of springsettings.exe

I launched spring, selected dsd, BA 7.50 and hit test spring.
runs fine and F11 brings up the widget menu. good, but puzzling.

quit that game and selected ZK 8.8.2
ran and STILL had the same problems as above - F11 takes a screenshot and the com does not spawn.

what's going on here?

Run ZK from where?
Remember that ZKL and SL use different path to configuration files.. they are different

Ok so what's the config path for zk? how do I change it?
does downloading the zk sdz and sticking it in the spring/games folder not work for zk?

I want to be able to play zk from spring lobby.

ZK mod itself uses same config path as BA...

Only difference is lobby..

With springlobby, configs are where your engine is and some are in local settings.

With zero-k lobby all configs are in game data folder (my games/spring) so its shared for all engine versions installed (in zero-k lobby go to settings->open game data folder to get to configs)

Maybe I can use the power of junction points to have maps and games in a folder that I choose.

wait, ZK lobby creates the whole damn engine in the mygames/spring

I'm guessing this is because I installed spring origionaly as portable?
looks like the spring path is pointing to my games\spring in the zklobby settings.

can I have a list of what each game and each lobby looks for where when run from either the spring.exe, springlobby, or zklobby. and how to change stuff like this?

God this is frustrating.

Junction points *sortof* worked - ZK lobby finds maps in the location I WANT them, however spring takes a good 30 seconds to start - before I even get a splash screen, it sits there and I think it's not done anything.
I noticed changing spring data line seemed to have the same effect too.
the more junction points I had (ie maps, mods, games) increased the length of time it would take to start.

I must have screwed something else up too since now ZK lobby is having the same problem as spring lobby - commander wont spawn, cant get ZK GUI, F11 takes screenshots etc...
maybe It's because I set the spring path in ZK lobby settings...
