I'd honestly ignore the GRTS animation faults until Spring gets a better animation importing system. Too much pain for not enough gain to make good anims in Spring. GRTS anims are stiff but functional.

Way better than the animations in CT. I wish I could emulate the level of animation Smoth's done in GRTS.

Dynasty warriors as a game series is about beating up hundreds and hundreds of dudes over and over again as you progress through a loose story that requires knowing a bit about the characters to "get" why they are doing what they are doing.

It is purely for fans of that particular thing. Where you play as a favorite character and have lots of mindless action.

You prefer realistic goal oriented gameplay. We have done this dance before. You personally will find this game dull after the first hour where as I will probably get 300+ hours out of it and enjoy the spins and storylines of the characters because I will be able to "get it."
