If you're like my you've had some trouble finding a decent grep tool for winbloze. I have finally found one: http://www.baremetalsoft.com/baregrep/index.php

I use Notepad++ find in files, with regexp ticked.

I just use grep. there are a few decent unix toolset ports.

Doesn't work for doc, docx, etc.
