Dwarf Fortress Arena Battle!

I enjoyed the concept of the Arena Battles thread that happened on the Dwarf Fortress forums, and figured we should do one of our own!

My idea is very simple: Everyone has 500 coins to design a Gladiator (based on the cost system below) whereupon, pending enough entries, all gladiators will placed in a tournament style 1v1 knock-out eg. 16-->8-->4-->2-->winner. I will post a description & screenshot of each fight in DF arena mode until we have only one, who can sit in his bedroom and flex his muscles in glory!



Designing a Gladiator:

Possible races are:

Human (bigger)
Elf (faster)
Dwarf (tougher)
Goblin (average)
Kobold (small & weak- Kobold gladiators get an extra +50 coins)

Everyone starts with 500 coins to spend- this can be used to purchase Skills and Gear at the costs below.

SKILL COSTS

30 coins per point for any skill with 1-5 points
40 coins per point for any skill with 6-10 points
50 coins per point for any skill with 11-15 points
60 coins per point for any skill with 16-20 points

(Example: Spear: 1-5 would cost 30 points for each skill point in spear, after which each skill point upto 5-10 would cost 40, then each from 11-15 would cost 50 etc.)

Besides weapon, shield & armor skill, there is also fighter, dodger, striker, kicker, biter and wrestler to consider
