Well your DSD map has too much ore for sure.

its 6v6 map... sure there is too much ore when you play 2v2 or 3v3 etc... i scaled the ore for 12 players. i hate when ore ends too quick... and it doesnt really hurt to have too much ore, now does it?

Well I actually felt there was so much ore and features, there was no space for building your base. And that was in a 2v2.

yea, has some maps like that too.
imo it is like this:
unlike Spring or most other RTS you can not indefinitely increase your production speed. There is a threshold where more income does not make a difference anymore.
If ore is too easy to come it is very hard for one player to gain an advantage: Destroyed buildings can be replaced basically free.
If it is not possible to block the other players supply and both players can build everything non-stop it gets a bit boring after a while.

yeah, i think the best tactic is to blow up enemy ore trucks... lol.
