i wish it was made from plaster or something that would allow it to last for a long time
the poop observation i feel isn't all that far off the target; looks like the artist was trying to come up with something revolting and vile (and lets face it, its a good plan in terms of making a shape out of sand that wont crumble easily)

that is pretty cool. There are also some sandbuilding festivals where they fill the whole beach with these sculptures. They do not use the sand from the beach though (its grains are too round) but instead transport in tons of more suitable sand.
