On a related note it's hard to experience cool stuff like zombie survival, godzilla and marsians attacking unless you have the luck to live in the US. There's usually not even mention about what happened in the rest of the world.

hey now, there are some nice invasions in europe too, check out movies like dead snow, 28 days later, etc

but i'll defenitely concede that, much like their news coverage, american invasion movies have a scope limited to within the country
