Cannot start any lobby under OpenSuse 11.4 x64

Post by NPcomplete »

Hello,

I have been playing spring a lot on my Windows installation, but now that I tried to install it on my OpenSuse I have encountered several problems that have basically blocked me out of playing:

1. The Spring Lobby from the opensuse wiki does not work. (This one - http://en.opensuse.org/SpringLobby). I get an error for not having libwx_baseu-2.8.so.0, but when I tried to install it with zypper it turns out that I do have it:
'libwx_baseu-2_8-0-stl' providing 'libwx_baseu-2.8.so.0' is already installed.
'libwx_baseu-2_8-0-compat-lib-stl' providing 'libwx_baseu-2.8.so.0' is already installed
2. Ok, I tried the java client which can be found here: http://darkstars.co.uk/2007/aflobby-beta-397/ . I get this:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: AFLobby/jar
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: AFLobby.jar
What should I do in order to be able to play again, besides switching OSes every time?

My OS is OpenSuse 11.4 x64.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. I think that nota is installed correctly, I put it by hand in ~.spring/mods. Trying to install it from Dolphin or Bash gives me various parsing errors/ missing setup script errors.

hi
you must add accAgon repository in order to install springlobby. I don't know why, but it s look like it is impossible to build springlobby on opensuse 11.4
