Whether you'd want to get a 3DS is up to you, after all the thing is very expensive (250Ôé¼ compared to the 100Ôé¼ Gamestop takes for a used DS Lite with a game) and it'll be a long time before it has an interesting game library. Get all of the Professor Layton and Ace Attorney games you can get your hands on. Also get Picross 3D.

That's not a way to waste much time, you'll have to wait many real time hours between action in that game.
Since he's on the Spring forums, I would think Strategy games would be a better investment:
Get Robocalypse and Civ Revolutions.

dont be a faggot & buy a DS, just get a decent laptop or notebook and play turn based games/DF/Minecraft/Civ/other non-competitive games that do not rely on reflex

It's still fun. They even have holiday levels and you can make chimera zombies.

If you are easily offended or under the age of majority in your country or at work where they monitor your online activity... do not google for "fleshlight"... also, don't google for "smoth" at work as it happens to be a common abbreviation for a fetish.

Is this the fetish you are referring to?
smoth
An animal that is a cross between a moth and a sloth. A person could possibly attain the metaphysical properties of a smoth if he or she is baptized in the waters beneath a dome-like structure that is beside a lake.
He's moving like a smoth! I feel like a smoth! You wakeboard like a smoth! I AM A SMOTH!

no... and I'm not terribly familiar with the fetish in question but related images came up in google image search when I had safe search disabled... perhaps it's not as common an abbreviation as I think but I don't wish to investigate further.

I'm at work now but last time I looked it was endless pictures of men being smothered by women's crotches... perhaps I just got lucky?

just funny that fact-checking yourself would only require typing one word into google

anyways don't buy a DS, buy a tablet or a lappy or something. the one revenge mentions (asus transformer) is on my shopping list as soon as it becomes available near me... $400 for multitouch, dualcore, android 3.0... what a steal

(unless there are particular DS games you want to play)

My recent blog posts about twitching, feathers, and zombie neighbors are not gross. They're interesting.

 Ok. If he wasn't, I was going to tell him to stop acting like a little girl. Fictional characters like zombies and twitching aren't gross in my opinion.

Yeah, that was my impression exactly, just that it wasnt someone, moar like yatze, also he wasnt writting, but fastspeaking and he certainly found the 3ds cool, if you take cool literally as something that slowly kills you and keeps your body fresh for the corpsecannibalcarnival.

The DS isn't very good for portable strategy, if you want that then get an iPhone/iPod/iPad and grab Land Air Sea Warfare.
