umm nano towers put out 1/3 of the nano ability that freakers do... (from looking at pure numbers).
What's wrong with fields of nano towers? They are not mabile and their lack of power makes the freaker a much more viable option. They build very slowly imo.
If you are afraid of fields of nano towers then you must never use farks or consuls or freakers to guard your factories I'm betting.
Hell earlier today I was pumping out a golli every 10 seconds or so because I had shit tons of freakers.
If you have something against mass production, you're playing the wrong game dude.

Dont you guys think too, that k-bots rule vehicles by a large margin?
K-Bots provide you with a much better, faster, econ and are only slightly less efective in comat than vehicles, further more, only k-bots give you the option to get the lvl3 pwnage machines, that crush every vehicle. And thanks to the k-bots econ, you get em fast.
So, what can we do for the vehicles, so not everybody goes k-bots first?

WOW! That sucks! I wonder why that happens. I'll add this to the changes for the next version, resotring the old bomb dropping rate.
Edit: hang on a tick... L2 bombers are now bombing OTA:AA style... the bombdrop point is actually being used as the spot to drop bombs from! I wonder when that was fixed?

Ask for low trajectory again and I'll hurt you.

I'll fix the depthcharge launcher though... I've never seen it built "on water", but I'll investigate into that a bit...
I'm looking into this new bomb dropping situation. Not sure how many of you were aware of this, but in OTA:AA, level 2 bombers (phoenix, hurricane) dropped bombs randomly, giving them a greater spread and far greater damage dealing against ground units while retaining their firepower against structures since the bombs weren't spread so wide they'd miss - and even when they did, they'd deal pretty much equal damage because of their large AoE.
Up until very recently, Spring ignored the bombdrop point and just used the object's base point for dropping bombs. Well, it appears that's changed

This would be cool beyond reason, except that bombers now also have the uncanny ability to guide their bombs to their target for some reason. Maybe editing certain parts of the weapon file would remove this? Dunno. Anyway, long of the short of it is, they still hit the ground in a straight line

Does this mean the Carpet bomber (halos) will drop allot more bombs now instead of three?...like in OTA:AA
Are the fortress walls going to be put back in? They were nice...although I think it should take less to reclaim them if possible since they are almost immune to anything else.smokeynseinor wrote:Change the deflector back to the fortress walls like it was in OTA AA, they were good, and after about 100 Bertha shots they would crumble.
Hell, even in OTA, all it took was about 3 lv2 bombers to kill a majority of structures. They were to be ph34r3d. Mass bombing runs with lv 2 + line bombing....oh....its beautiful.
If you ever play an ota person, u will notice they never put the fusions next to each other or put them all within a straight line. That was bomber heaven.
But yea, I never build lv 1 bombers...they are just too weak. Lv 2 bombers own tho. As they should.

Make no mistake though, L1 bombers in AA are currently broken, certainly not at all representive of how I intended they work. Once I've nailed down the problem (apparently has nothing to do with the FBI, script, weapon... or anything else.....
) I'll make sure they're fixed.
I have to wonder... obviously changes have recently been made to the way that bombers handle bombs, right, since up until just recently bombs were all dropped from the base object. It's hard to believe that I, let alone the 1500 other AA:S downloaders, let such a massive, glaring flaw slip through the cracks for so long. Perhaps in changing one thing, L1 AA bombers have been broken somehow? Confusing as anything...
I'll have to get in touch with the people who ported UH over and find out how they overcame this problem - AA L1 bombers are essentially identical to UH ones, at least on OTA. I've tried changing a bunch of things, even outright replacing everything related to bombers with UH-stolen files, but no dice.
