mod doesn't display in springlobby

I am trying to load/play a singleplayer game of Balanced Annihilation.
My system is windows XP SP3.
I installed springlobby.
I downloaded ba720.sdz game file and I downloaded the map deltasiegdry.sd7 (don't know if this map is for balanced annihilation or not, it didn't say in the description but it was most popular map downloaded on springfiles, and the help/faq said you need at least one game file and one map file to play).
First I tried manually putting the game file in c:\program files\spring\mods and the map file in c:\program files\spring\maps
Then i clicked tools->reload maps/images in the springlobby. And I have the singleplayer tab open, and still no games display. Then I double clicked on both the ba720.sdz file and deltasiegedry.sd7 file and the "mover" that came with spring automatically moved them to mydocuments\mygames\spring\mods and maps respectivelly. I tried hitting the reload button again but no luck. The problem could be that my 'my docs' folder does not actually reside on the C drive but is in fact a redirection to a networked server. Is this a problem? could the default directory be somehow changed?

what am i doing wrong? help please

look into infolog.txt, there should be lines like this:

Scanning: C:\Users\*\Documents\My Games\Spring\maps
Scanning: C:\Users\*\Documents\My Games\Spring\mods
Scanning: C:\Users\*\Documents\My Games\Spring\packages
Scanning: C:\Users\*\Documents\My Games\Spring\engine\0.82.7\maps
Scanning: C:\Users\*\Documents\My Games\Spring\engine\0.82.7\base
Scanning: C:\Users\*\Documents\My Games\Spring\engine\0.82.7\games
Scanning: C:\Users\*\Documents\My Games\Spring\engine\0.82.7\mods

in one of these \maps or \games directory, you can place the game+map files (according to it, if its a map or game)
