It starts to get annyoning

Topic Starter: i maek a mod blah blah
A: some reply
B: some reply
C: some reply + something not topic related
A: replys to C
B: see above
etc...

it starts to get annyoning to be honest
of course i know i(someone) should ask the Moderator but that is not a real solution

We had this discussion before... I started a whole thread on it and the majority opinion was that as long as the topic starter doesn't care and request moderation, having off-topic-topics divert their attention to a tangent is expected and acceptable behaviour.

I take issue with the way you presented C... in most cases the '+' part in C is actually related to something B said in passing... or the way he said what he said about post A or whatever.

I like to the free-flow discussions when they occur... so if it happens in one of my threads I'm not going to stop it.

Me too, unless they are presented in a linear way. It's hard to read concurrent branches in one thread.

Depends on the section of the forum too. We'd be more strict about this kind of thing outside of the off topic section... but to me, off topic discussion is supposed to be free form and not highly topical.
