New hosting system

Well, since the change of the hosting system as of version 0.67b1 many people behind routers and with correct portforwarding aren't able to host anymore.
So my question is: Are there actually people who weren't able to host before the update but are able now?

It's just so terribly annoying I now have to wait for open games (which can take like forever) when before the update I used to host games for months :(

Well I guess I'll revert it back as it was before since quite some people are having problems with it, although I haven't figured out what's the cause for it yet.

Well, like you said on mantis, I think the best solution would be have a switch so we can get the best of both.

something more to this problem

2 local IP computers at same network behind NAT with one external IP

computer 1 host game and if i use firewall it detect incoming traffic from computer 2
but there is no traffic going back to computer 2
and computer 2 reports it can't connect to server and times out

as result computer 1 or computer 2 can't host games for each other ... they can play games only if someone else hosts ...
