I for one have a bit of a problem with this. AAI barely works with anything, and rai and kaik are really only good for *A clones. Why are these AIs distributed with the engine?

AIs distributed with the engine

Re: AI's distributed with the engine
I don't think anybody would mind so much if the lobbies were constrained to avoid listing the AIs with incompatible games. But as it stands, yes. I can't imagine how many players have been scared off how many games because of trying to play singleplayer and having to guess which AI won't make stuff crash.
Re: AI's distributed with the engine
all that are in the installer work with BA. what should be done engine/unitsync/AI and lobby wise has been discussed, and the solution has been agreed upon. it is just not done yet (and it has no priority).
Re: AI's distributed with the engine
Discussed with who.
Re: AI's distributed with the engine
search forum. basically, everyone that turned up. i remember it being mostly Z and me.
Re: AI's distributed with the engine
It must be noted that aside from occasional involvement by engine developers, the majority of the projects are in a state of limbo, relying on gifts of time from said developers to fix bugs and add new features.
Once they are removed from installer distributions, they're dead, thus sounds the death knell of KAIK and AAI. I very much doubt this will happen in the near future, but who knows.
