BA games recordings

Post by Muka »

Hello,

Could you people please post here your BA games videos. And by that i don't mean any 4years+ videos from BA 6.2, but a bit more up to date.
I think it would be a great opportunity to watch some of the best BA players, and provide less skilled players some trainign materials.
I know i can serach YT, but YT is full of <2 mintues crap, shitty games, weird players doing weird things....
There is dot wars, yes i know. But many people want moar!

Thanks for none flame reply.

Thank you :)
But, indeed i din't mention it..... I mean any YT or other video share websites. So people could be able to watch replays from PC without spring, installing any 3rd part software, to share on forums to promote spring etc.

There's some recordings there. But unfortunately there's not much else that I know of at least. And they're over a year old already? Damn time goes fast...

How about the software livestream/other streaming services have? I don't have personal experience but they're used a lot at least.

Problem with fraps is that i am limited in fps with my resolution.

There is no way I can play with decent fps AND use frap as the same time

When I start fraps, I switch from 300 fps to 17 !
17 fps, makes the game barely playable.

I truely dont understand why and modifying all the option did not change much.

If I switch from 1680*1050 to 600*800, I get to 45 fps which become playable but gui take so much place I cannot see anything anymore.

Actually I thought it was a pb due to HD speed but I tryed different and it is not.

So I just want the best AFTER fraps.

EDIT:

How do you use springs built in capture ?

EDIT2:

when i rise game speed to x20, i stay to 17 fps...

EDIT3: got it ! : need newest version :

from wiki:

fraps can be used to record video at resolutions up to 2560×1600 in size. Custom recording speeds can be specified anywhere from 10 frame/s up to 100 frame/s, although at higher resolutions a reduced frame rate should be used to ensure the video can be played back in realtime. In previous versions, the frame rate of the game has been limited to the framerate of the captured video, but currently the game can be played at a higher framerate. Fraps is designed to be able to record video at HD resolutions on modern computers, including 720p (1280×720 @ 60 frame/s) and 1080p (1920×1080 @ 30 frame/s).

EDIT 4 : new version makes no diffferences ..

what are your system specs?
unless your computer is really good you can not record in full resolution.
If I switch from 1680*1050 to 600*800, I get to 45 fps which become playable but gui take so much place I cannot see anything anymore.
dont think there is any other way. Also AA seems to effect alot when recording.

4Go Ram
i5 750
ATi HD 4890 1Go
HD 7200rpm - Sata II link
Windows XP SP3

I tryed to record on an external 5200rpm (usb link), that does not influence the speed.

I tryed multithread and single thread spring, i got no difference when i enable fraps.
This is wierd casue since turbo-boost is enable on i5, I should get higher cpu ressources available for fraps when I use single thread spring.exe

Also , if I limit to half size, I get ZERO gain of performance....Maybe it is an internal problem to fraps.

What is AA ?
