Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I absolutely love how they've taken the Morrowind music and redone it with a choir!
And the best part of the elder scrolls games is finding all the little connectors to the old games, characters that are related to older game characters e.t.c

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I like how they label ~10 seconds of gameplay with rest being cutscenes a "gameplay trailer".

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Oh, its baawars: attack of the clone-levels? That always was my favourite episode, and the one that followed, oh, actually i lieked them all, because they used the same trees, buildings, stones, actually it was always the same, you could get anywhere in those games and feel at home. The McDonalds of Level Design. Want some Cheese on your onions, fanbois?
Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Trailers don't really tell much (except perhaps the scale of the marketing budget
). Looking forward to a demo or "WTF is ?" style real impressions... Anyone tried dragon age 2 demo?

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
no, its quite epic actually. looking forward for 2.
Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
If its gonna be as scripted and linear as the first it will be just as crap.
The thing is that even though they were suppose to be to concentrating on delivering a great story the dialogues were a complete uninteresting bore...

Compared to what? Oblivion? roflGota wrote:the dialogues were a complete uninteresting bore...
Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
dragon age was quite good and not just a matter of a few hours, i hated the difficulty adjusted to your level in oblivion but the game was good
Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
i felt like playing new game. not same shit from microwave (elder scrolls)
Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Right...Something new...A dark force(half dead orcs?lol) is attacking humans...jee now thats a new one.
Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
same stupid as saying that soup didnt taste u coz spoon was too big :'
Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Maybe for you. I think Bioware is the best on the market when it comes to RPG dialogs/storytelling/voicing.Gota wrote:The thing is that even though they were suppose to be to concentrating on delivering a great story the dialogues were a complete uninteresting bore...

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
morrowind was my fav, oblivion felt too arcade
Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Bioware writing is just bad. It tries to be all emotional and touching, but it really feels like you're playing a fucking therapist at times more than anything. And when a lot of this soap opera doesn't really intervene with the main plot much at all, it really seems just a nuisance to talk to these stereotypic fools.
Why not just make a dating sim for those who want that crap... Even if I'd want to play a game just for its plot and dialogue, why would I pick one with hours of repetitive filler combat like DA?
Sure Oblivion might be worse but that's not saying much :D

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Morrowind/Oblivion has the same problem that the total war series has(without the hard coding limits)
The vanilla release falls short of expectations.
Then someone releases a mega awesome overhaul mod making the game way better and play like it should have been at release.
Morrowind vanilla wasn't bad but modded it was bad ass.
Oblivion vanilla sucked a bit but modded it was amazing.
Skyrim will probably be the same.
Can't wait tbh.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
As long as all the territories look different as oppose to the monotone look of oblivion....
Obviously it will be scripted as fuck and the AI will be dumb etc etc...
Maybe they will make combat controls better?
