On the second monitor, it was literally invisible, on the main one, it was hard to see but visible, nonetheless visibility was poor. There isnt a shoutbox there anyway, and we have the opportunity to move the shoutbox now anyway.
I never liked the shoutbox and so I don't intend on adding a shoutbox in, but anyway, I'll see what I can do about the search. Personally though, I can see it just fine on my monitor.

They're on complete opposite sizes of the page horizontally. It's not something you notice, consciously or subconsciously, naturally, or unnaturally. I think this is nitpicking a bit...

Your version of the logo feels odd and awkward because you've modified it but then you've lumped an arbitrary graphic on the end. If you put that graphic in place of the download arrow, it would be a massive improvement. Make the gray parts of the documents the same colour as the golden glow and make the whiter parts luminous white like the logo
It feels odd and awkward because you've stared at your own logos so much, so often that anything slightly differing becomes a pain to your eyes, as I said to Artturi, I feel there needs to be something there of some description, but maybe I didn't get it right the first time. I'm gonna try making the files look like Spring files for the next mockup.

Make it a light gray, so its obviously different, but still readable. It will help with the aesthetics and usability.
Again, I designed this in accordance to my own monitor which is a 1920*1200, bright, high contrasty tower of sex so I'm sorry to anybody who sees it very differently to how I see it but I don't particularly want to buy extra monitors to get the colour balance just right for everybody, if that's even possible. Regardless, as time goes on, so does technology and quality rises as well as numbers sold when it comes to things like computer monitors. It can only get better for people. If there's anybody still using a CRT out there hit me up and I'll send you a cheap LCD.

It will be when they're coded. Such is there nature that people like to hover over pretty graphics to see if they do anything so I'd make sure they're obviously interactive clicking machines when it comes to coding it all.
