That's actually a really interesting site to just browse through from time to time. Has all kind of high tech gadgetry in development, things like a robotic arm they're developing which is not only controlled by the person's own brain as if it was their own hand, but using synthetic neves which will allow the person to actually feel sensation in that hand. :o Due for first human testing in 2006-ish, I think.

Are these suits/weapons for the United States. Haha, we're already 8 trillion in the hole. We cant even pay for armour for our troops in Iraq. How the hell is bush gonna pay for these, presuming they are for U.S. that is.

IIRC, the U.S. military budget equals that of the next 20(?) highest budgeted countries combined. It's probably eventually for us.

as for how we'll pay for it, where do you get the idea that bush may even care?

Well their article on the XM-8 is outdated, this weapon is to be cancelled or atleast suspended.
