I was just looking at the "Using_Spring" section of the wiki and it looks like some helpful soul wiped the page and made it a redirect to "Read Me First"... no I tend to take it personally when a large body of work that I've done is deprecated but I do understand that one the contents had likely become outdated and all... so I'm going to suck down my pride for the moment...
the two comments I have then are,
All of the "sub-pages" from Using_Spring are now labelled as being "Balanced Annihilation" instructions it seems... This makes me sad as 90% of these instructions are still applicable to all spring games... and definitely to all TA based mods... not just Balanced Annihilation:
http://springrts.com/mediawiki/index.ph ... ldid=20425
There are now two links on the landing/home page that go to the same place, one is the "read me first" and one is "playing spring"... are both links needed now that they go to the same place?
I guess this is just me being emotional/nostalgic... but is it really such a bad thing to have an exhaustive style players manual... a lot of work was put into this for it to just be labelled as a "Balanced Annihilation" Manual.

Re: Using Spring
The problem with this page was, it is really outdated and it is nearly impossible to keep such big pages up to date. :-/
for example:
http://springrts.com/wiki/Using_custom_keys still works, but there is a keyeditor in springlobby
http://springrts.com/wiki/Using_Camera is partly wrong... the F-keys don't change camera mode any more
in my opinion it's better to have no docs than wrong docs.. so this is why i made the redirect.
http://springrts.com/wiki/Using_chat for example should be only a link to https://github.com/spring/spring/blob/m ... c/cmds.txt because the file on github is always up to date.
IMHO we can't maintain such a big wiki with such many pages, we need to clean it up + tighten it to a maintainable size.
we have also many duplicate stuff on the wiki, for example: http://springrts.com/wiki/FAQ:player + http://springrts.com/wiki/Using_chat
please try to avoid duplicate docs in the wiki!
keep in mind, spring is an engine, not a game! The Games itself should have a Page, how to play it. Spring itself only can explain how install it, the Game could make things different, maybe in the Game is no build command, this could confuse readers of the page.
I've added the Page Keyboard (+wikified it) and made some links to it (hopefully this is better than before...)
The marking of the pages for BA is fine, the link on the main-page was logically wrong...
