Re: springsettings featuring hotkey editor
Has both been discussed already and changed in my master.
Also, this is not meant for productive usage, thats why I asked for feedback and posted in dev-forum. I even explicitly mentioned that mis-behavior in my intial post. What else can I do?
(Try your OS's copy command to backup your valuable uikeys.txt before trying this. Also look out for uikeys.txt.bak in spring folder.)

Yep, true... It just shouldnt be included in Springlobby then, I had not read this thread when I tried it.

Re: springsettings featuring hotkey editor
Thats a valid point. I was not aware that it is already getting shipped. When BD said he would include it in the next release I thought it would take at least several months, giving me time to polish stuff.
Anyway, I will probably have some time in the next week and I am planning to finish this.

Dont worry about it, just think of us as your extended testing base :)
Re: springsettings featuring hotkey editor
The nice thing is that it handled hotkeys for my custom commands.
The not so nice thing is that it added Any+ in front, and that my gadget using them modside can't handle that.

Re: springsettings featuring hotkey editor
Latest springlobby contains an updated version of springsettings including hotkey editor: http://springlobby.info/windows/springl ... -win32.zip
It still has some issues converting some special keys to the correct equivalents, but sorting commands is possible (Double click on a key in the right list box) and you can voluntarily add the any-modifier where you want.
Feedback is appreciated, thanks.

Re: springsettings featuring hotkey editor
Thanks for feedback. Another (and probably last) version with some fixes for Windows and some added features (some Linux issues still remain). I am sure you will find a binary of this yourself (or compile it yourself).
Re: springsettings featuring hotkey editor
When will this be fixed? Atm you cannot open Springsettings without making a backup of uikeys.txt yourself (I'm not sure, maybe the backup made by program will preserve the correct setting, but at least doesn't always have the right thing backed)very_bad_soldier wrote:[*]you cannot control the order of the bind/unbind commands in uikeys.txt. I think they get sorted by command name.
Or if you or nobody want to touch it, please make it a separate app :(
Re: springsettings featuring hotkey editor
Would be a good thing if springsettings didn't touch uikeys.txt unless explicitedly told to.

Re: springsettings featuring hotkey editor
Hm, why should it be like that? It should just not mess it up IMO. I dont work on this anymore since weeks. Because there was zero feedback I assumed everything was fine.zwzsg wrote:Would be a good thing if springsettings didn't touch uikeys.txt unless explicitedly told to.
I dont know if anyone even bothered to take a look at the latest version (I dont think so when reading johannes post).
Re: springsettings featuring hotkey editor
Dunno, maybe lobbies just don't include latest version then, but a lot of people complain about their uikeys getting fucked.
Re: springsettings featuring hotkey editor
SpringLobby is the only lobby that includes SpringSettings. Every other lobby just launches the standalone binary I provide.
