Re: sum strange wiki page
i dont know why this page was changed into the totally useless thing it is now but it was a list of topics that would come up all the time.
for example requests to include...
-better fps mode with a real cockpit
-sphere maps/"wrap around" maps
-midgame joining / save&load
check this random old version:

Re: sum strange wiki page
Midgame spec join has been implemented by BrainDamage - and its pure awesome. You can even rejoin if you dropped as a player!
Edit: Since asking what is MTR is MTR, I should lock :D

Re: sum strange wiki page
Yes, it isn't pretty but it works.

Re: sum strange wiki page
Works like a charm for me, takes me less time to get up to speed on a long running game than it does for everyone to place their start points and rup.
Re: sum strange wiki page
MTR is sort of a elephant graveyard of good, bad and ugly ideas.

Re: sum strange wiki page
Are you saying it wouldn't be awesome if overnight Spring was able to support spherical maps with no downsides?
Re: sum strange wiki page
At least if someone would waste time actually making spherical maps instead of proper ones, it would suck a bitGoogle_Frog wrote:Are you saying it wouldn't be awesome if overnight Spring was able to support spherical maps with no downsides?
Re: sum strange wiki page
Spehrical maps, you say forb? What a great idea, never thought about that, but now that i take a closer look, i can see the sphere spining till every unit drops off the map. Who is this mysterious Sir Sigh, who has such great innovations to contribute? Id like to meet him.Forboding Angel wrote:Ugly ideas: like spherical maps... Sigh.
Knowing that smoth sometimes refers to him as mr. le sigh, i asume he is a friend of emanuell.
