Wierd infolog

Post by Forboding Angel »

Ok, according to this infolog, spring crashed twice while being loaded from spring.exe, however, after a while the map loaded and so did the game.

Whats going on?

It's the hang detection.

Are you running some kind of anti-virus with realtime protection?

I have to disable avast when running via spring.exe.

Really? That's all it is? Wow. Did happen in past versions. I wonder what changed?

Edit: Ok here is a solution for avast users, for other AV programs it will probably be similar. In the avast gui, click on real time protection or whatever, click on advanced, and add an exception for your spring folder. Works perfectly and spring now loads up quickly again.

There was a bug that made hang detection trigger very easily during load, should be fixed now.

You may want to disable hangdetection for "/give all" too, same for "/luaxyz reload".

Hang detection is supposed to be able to detect any hang, so we increase the threshold rather than disable.
