I'd model the underside of ships, Player view "swimming" may be possible in some future version of spring, and it would be a huge hassle to have to modify tonnes and tonnes of models just because you figured you'd cut corners for 30 less polies.

I think the anchor can be assumed to be on deck somewhere and probably doesn't need to be modeled. The screw you can probably do with about 20-30 faces and it might be visable so maby still do that.
