I dont want to update springdownloader all the time and I dont want it bugging me with all that stuff.
The lobby that I use is TAS client and not some half finished springdownloader lobby.
Is there a way to stop it from updating or so it doesnt get on my nerves?
Springdownloader -microsoft net framework- wtf is this now?

Re: Springdownloader -microsoft net framework- wtf is this now?
Im fine with the update things. What im not fine is that I can't minimize SD from a taskbar without closing the whole things (Windwows 7) Which means: Every time I click the exit button, it exits the whole thing and all my downloads breaks...
This started to happen after couple updates...
btw, When that awesome ui will be implemented? I might start using SD actually once the appearance and visuals gets better...

In the end, the only way to avoid such an update is to do everything through TASClient. The lobby is part of SD's full package, and thus any updates to the lobby are done for the entire thing.

Of course it's on purpose! SD is a lobby client just like Tasc and SL. You close those with the X too!Kenku wrote:(unless this was a purposful change)

Alrighty then, I didn't know if it was or not. I understand the reasoning although since I was kinda annoyed with it still being open in the start menu even thought you closed it.CarRepairer wrote:Of course it's on purpose! Yes maybe 20 versions later but right now it just gets on my nerves.SirArtturi wrote:

Re: Springdownloader -microsoft net framework- wtf is this now?
I wonder what functional in SD requires .NET 4? Was it _really_ important? Because forcing to download tons of MS stuff just to show application for the first time is irritating. Most of users already have .NET 2.0 installed.
Re: Springdownloader -microsoft net framework- wtf is this now?
.NET 4.0 is needed for WPF - for visuals of future versions of SD.

Hm, on some old machine i could not install dotNetFx40_Client_setup.exe because i need to download Windows Imaging Component first. SD devs may wanna add this info somewhere.
