messed up textures

i recently had to reinstall windows/spring
when in-game unit textures are messed up

its like this for all mods, i have latest graphics drivers, can't figure out it out
any ideas?

p.s could you list all of springs dependencys? e.g directx, .net framework ect....

I can't recall all of them, as they differ based on platform in some particulars, but there is one universal which is probably the cause of your problem; OpenGL. What graphics card are you using?

Well, the card itself is rated for OpenGL 2.0 so it is probably a driver issue. ATI breaks/fixes their drivers almost every other release, so a downgrade might solve the problem. I don't use ATI hardware, so if you need more detailed help, you'll have to wait for another user to respond.

join the club.. Long story short you have to find the 10.4 version of your drivers to get your textures back. You can read in greater detail about the problem in this thread: http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=23149

The good news is s3os are not affected. I really hope you can find you driver as it sucks to play like that.

Games which use s3o exclusively include Gundam RTS, Spring 1944 and... I believe... both The Cursed and KP, though I can't remember.

I would suggest going to amd's site i was told that they hang on to older desktop gfx drivers for while. If that does not work try guru3d.

i have tried the following drivers
10.6
10.5
10.4
10.3
10.2
the textures are still the same
pretty safe to say that the problem is not ati's drivers

any other ideas?

both spring and ccc set to default settings

turns out i wasn't uninstalling the driver properly
i used driversweeper and installed 10.4
the game is working perfect

Actually some S44 ship models are 3dos, but they're untexxed anyway.

It seems to be Cat 10.4+ issue. Install 10.3 or older driver pack.

You have to remove the previous driver COMPLETELY. You should use some kind of driver remover utility to do this. Driver Cleaner / Sweeper for instance.
