It's a good model but I would never want it as a replacement for the can.

it may not resemble OTA canon can

that being said, i can picture it moving at a similar rate, and having a similar role. it also resembles some existing core remakes stylistically, thinking of some of the CA t1 bots. it would also fit nicely with beheriths recent remake work.

and its a cool model; whats not to like?

I really like the unique way the legs are done, and the texture is superb as well. Got any tips on where/how you get those nice metal panel textures?

theres no actual tecnique =)

its just i add a metal patch as a base layer,

then i shade ligther or darker the areas, i want

you see the top of the model, in photoshop i paint the area with 18%to 58% opacity, with just white brush,

tbh the textures you have are realy awesome, (and the models), perhaps they lack a bit of after shading =), on the limits of the uvmap

cant help more (not to good with texturing), i used cremsus textures as base

No no, it's a great model, I'm just saying it looks nothing like the can and doesn't really fit in with the OTA style, or even most of the remodels.

Does look like something that would fit in CA somewhere though.

It's a nice model, but doesn't really feel like its can but rather something else.

If you'd like to change it more to resemble original can, you should make legs shorter and not so mech-like. The turret is also kinda vulnerable looking and toy-like. I like the torso part and the textures though!
